VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION

The Home in the Community currently serves 4 residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities with the assistance of specialized caregivers who provide personal care, health and wellness services, as well as social and emotional support. The four individuals who reside in the home in the community due to various reasons being unable to reside with their families, through this program have the opportunity to be housed and reside in an environment that offers them safety, care and a sense of family.

Supported Vocational Rehabilitation involves preparing the individuals served through workshops, finding employment, collaborating with employers, and ongoing support for individuals and employers. The vocational rehabilitation of individuals is a very important part of what we call social integration, since through this program, individuals become financially independent and socially accepted.

DAY CENTER

The Day Center operates daily from 7:30 to 15:00, where transportation to and from their homes is provided, breakfast and lunch based on a suitable-healthy diet, health and wellness services from a doctor, learning through workshops, excursions, overnight stays in Cyprus and abroad - through European programs, theatrical performances, participation in Special Olympic competitions, etc.
